First and foremost it is my sad duty to inform the membership of the passing of Past Commander and current Quartermaster George Campbell. He will be missed by all at the post. I wish to thank Past Commander Joe Colantoni for his leadership this past year. I would like to thank our members for the honor of serving as your Commander for the year 2009-2010. It will be a year full of challenges. We must all work together for the betterment of this post and continue to strive to serve our veterans. Due to the death of our Quartermaster George Campbell I am appointing Rich Mays as temporary Quartermaster. Due to this appointment there will be an additional opening on the B.O.D. Additionally, I have appointed Bill Onessimo to the position of temporary trustee. These temporary appointments will remain in affect until the next post meeting on There will also be a special corporate meeting to fill (1) two year and (1) one year position for members of the B.O.D. Please consider attending this meeting and running for one of these important positions. If these positions are not filled at the next meeting the Commander and Chairman will appoint members to fill them. Sr. Vice Commander's Corner: Bill McDonald SEMI-ANNUAL POPPY DRIVE: Bill McDonald, Chairman, 781-871-2516, Co-Chairman Bill Jones 1-508-272-2278. We are planning two fundraisers. There will be a sign up sheet and information on the lounge bulletin board. Chairs, tables and refreshments will be provided to the volunteers. The event will be held at the Abington Stop & Shop. Please give us a hand, this event is to help out our needy veterans and families! Dates and times to be announced in the next newsletter. Dues: It’s that time of year again. As of July 1st the year 2009-2010 starts. You will be receiving dues notices from the national office. Please send your dues in early. You may send them to national or directly to the post.
