JAMES R. “Bob” Buckley

 

 

   Weymouth James R. Bob Buckley died on Thursday, June 26, 2008 at the Brockton V.A. Hospital after a long illness. He was 85 years old. Born and raised in Braintree, he had lived in Weymouth for 50 years. A WW II Army Veteran, Mr. Buckley served in the South Pacific theatre. Mr. Buckley worked in the printing industry for many years, retiring from Smith Print in Norwell. Bob was a life member of the Abington VFW Post 5737 and a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Francis Xavier Council in Weymouth. Beloved husband of the late Phyllis (McGarry) Buckley. Devoted father of James M. Buckley of South Weymouth and Michael D. Buckley of Francestown, NH. Long time companion of Helen McElmon of Sharon. Loving grandfather of Sabrina Ullmann, Sarah Buckley and Sherrie Buckley. Beloved brother of the late Paul Buckley.

   Funeral from the Clancy-Lucid Funeral Home, 100 Washington St., Weymouth, on Monday, June 30 at 8 a.m. Funeral Mass in St. Francis Xavier Church, South Weymouth at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited. Visiting hours on Sunday from
Burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
